CARLSBAD, California- Callaway Golf Apparel’s slogan-"A better game by design"-never seemed truer than with its Fall 2008 Women’s collection.
The design approach for Callaway Golf Apparel’s Fall 2008 Women’s line is taken from higher-end luxury fashion brands. The goal is to give women a product they can’t find in today’s market, making them feel the purchase is special.
"Our Fall 2008 Women’s collection is superb from top to bottom and offers something for every woman," says Steve Pena, Callaway Golf Apparel’s Vice President of Design and Marketing. "Keeping our line fresh and current in performance fabric in lifestyle silhouettes has enabled the line to grow more than 100 percent in the last two years."
In addition to Fall 2008’s luxurious product, Callaway Golf Apparel has created a new sales/merchandising tool this season called the "Style Guide." The Style Guide was photographed using 10 head-to-toe looks on models from each of the collection’s three groups-"Revival," "Enchanted" and "Luminance." Buyers now have a chance to see the endless possibilities of mixing and matching within the groups.
"The response to the Style Guide has been very well received," Pena says, "especially with the male buyers who may not be too savvy buying Women’s Apparel. The Style Guide will help them put assortments together in no time at all, and make them feel they have the right balance of products."
Fall 2008 Individual Groups:
* "Revival" — is inspired by the free expression of the ’60s. Sophisticated, active and fun colors such as nautical navy and olympic blue are used with dusk, metal and white sporty stripes, and sexy color-block tops and printed skorts. Tech pullovers pieces are strong this season as an alternative to sweaters and outerwear, and will take women on and off the course and keep them looking good at all times.
* "Enchanted" — encompasses a strong sporty point of view using black as a base along with taupestone and a pop accent of teal to round out the group. A mix of performance and lifestyle, the yarn dye stripe hoodie and luxury pima interlock pieces give women great lifestyle pieces for all-around uses. Performance bottoms round out this group in longer, lean-short silhouettes and tech-looking capris.
* The Lifestyle group "Luminance" — which combines black, espresso and latte, with pop brights such as rosette and autumn-looks fresh and new. Luxurious extra-fine merino color-block cardigans keep things exciting in black and espresso heather. This group offers many performance stretch layering pieces to wear with the new performance lifestyle outerwear and Callaway Golf Apparel’s new signatures plaid capri "Tabitha."
The Callaway Nappa leather two-pocket jacket, paired with the company’s signature pin stripe boot-cut pant, will be on every order.
The Callaway look is one that is contemporary, sporty and very flattering in fit and uses luxury technical fabrics that perform as well as the X-Series Men’s line, while remaining feminine in style.
