LAKE MARY, FL – “This event really levels the playing field for the small and medium-sized equipment companies. It’s the best thing we do all year.”
That quote from Razor Golf CEO George Baker refers to the ING Spring Conference, and more specifically the Demo Lab, where over 20 companies set up product side-by-side for attendees to hit and compare. Razor, a small equipment company from Tampa, FL, has benefited greatly from the exposure received at this event, conducted annually by the non-profit International Network of Golf.
The 18th ING Spring Conference is set for May 27-31 at Atlantic City, NJ. This annual gathering of golf media and business leaders is open to anyone in the golf industry and media. Visit www.inggolf.com for more information.
The larger companies such as TaylorMade-adidas Golf and Nike Golf are regular participants in the ING Demo Lab, and often use this prestigious stage to launch new product. But so too are smaller companies like Razor Golf, who believe their products will test well when hit side-by-side with the others.
This year’s ING Demo Lab is set for Thursday, May 29 at Marriott Seaview Resort. A few of the smaller companies expected to make a splash at that event include Bob Burns Golf, Hot Rod Putters, Proline Sports, Razor Golf and Sweet Spot Golf to name a few.
Another popular element of the ING Spring Conference is the ING One-On-One Appointment Show. It was created to place an emphasis on business relations between the media and golf companies, resorts, destinations and entrepreneurs. A series of private, 15-minute meetings are held between exhibitors and media.
The One-On-One Appointment Show is set for Thursday morning, May 29 at host hotel, the beautiful Atlantic City Sheraton, situated next door to the Atlantic City Convention Center. It is just one element of an action-packed ING schedule. The lineup includes:
1)The State Of The Industry Panel. Industry leaders Joe Steranka (PGA of America) and Mike Hughes (NGCOA) will be joined by others to bring our attendees up to date on the current state and direction of the golf business.
2)The International Pairs World Qualifier. A two-player team that wins this 18-hole net points competition at Atlantic City Country Club will represent ING and the USA in the International Pairs World Finals in Scotland in September, an expenses-paid trip.
3)The ING Fashion Show. ING members will take to the runway as models, sporting the latest and greatest fashions from some of the industry’s top apparel companies.
4)Education and self-improvement programs galore, from communication, to marketing, to use of the Internet. There is something for everyone.
Helping to kick off the week in a positive and energetic way is motivational speaker Dom Famularo, the author of, "The Cycle of Self Empowerment." He has toured the world performing motivational speeches that always end with standing ovations. He has a unique, breezy style, blending a mix of humor, story telling and philosophy. His unique mix of talents – drumming and motivational speaking – has two common threads: passion and intensity.
