ORLANDO, FL – The rapid-fire expansion of the Mike Bender Golf Academy continues this month at another Kitson & Partners-owned golf facility, Stoneybrook East.
The Grand Opening is set for Saturday, March 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature swing evaluations, equipment demos and a free clinic by Mike Bender, ranked among the top 10 golf instructors in the world by Golf Digest. The general public is invited to the grand opening.
Bender’s other schools in Central Florida are also located at Kitson & Partners golf courses. The original site, at Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, FL, just completed a renovation. The academy there began gaining in popularity following successful professional tour seasons by some of his top students in 2006. It skyrocketed following Zach Johnson’s Masters victory in 2007.
The other Mike Bender Golf Academy site is at Stoneybrook West in Garden City. That site opened in January of this year and is already off to a great start.
Along with Johnson, Bender’s other professional tour students have included two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen, Skip Kendall, Steve Pate, 2006 LPGA Tour Rookie Of The Year Seon Hwa Lee, tour winner Joo Mi Kim, Vicky Goetz and many more.
“We are very blessed to be growing at this rate,” said Bender. “Stoneybrook East is a great golf facility in an established region of Orlando. We think we will do quite well here.”
Kitson & Partners’ C.E.O. Of Clubs, Mike Rippey, sees the value of the relationship between Bender and Kitson.
