Golf Tips’ Best Of The Web-a New Directory For Booking Travel, Making Tee Times, Buying Gear And Everything Else You Need To Know

March 19, 2008

Now that Web 2.0 has officially arrived and 20 percent of the world is online, it’s only natural that a large number of golfers are gravitating to their computers to do the same thing they once did over the phone or in person: book vacations, reserve tee times and buy equipment. How has the web changed their experience? For one thing, there are a lot more deals to be had; for another, using the Internet is a lot more convenient, especially when it comes to organizing a golf vacation.

What follows is GT’s first “Best Of The Web” rundown in the April issue of Golf Tips Magazine, a compilation of websites that provide golfers with the most up-to-date travel deals, tee times and equipment discounts. Starting on page 84, check out these sites and see for yourself how they’re changing the way golfers enjoy the game. The best part is all the sites are free.

Researching this article reaffirmed my belief that the Internet is the easiest, most efficient way to organize your next golf vacation

-Charlie Schroeder, Golf Tips Travel Editor

Plus, GT breaks down the best spots for family golf vacations and what the non-golfers in your family can do while you’re out on the course. All this and more in the April issue of Golf Tips Magazine-pick up your copy today and start planning your next great golf getaway.

About Golf Tips Media Group

Golf Tips Media Group has four print publications-Golf Tips Magazine, Golf Equipment Buyer’s Guide, The Best Of Golf Tips, and The Golf Instruction Annual-as well as www.golftipsmag.com and its eNewsletter, as well as the TV program GOLF LIFE broadcast nationally to 110 million households on Fox Sports Net and Comcast. These media properties are written, produced and edited for the most serious audience in golf-those golfers playing more than once a week, year-round (75+ rounds/year). The editorial content is targeted at the avid player and focuses on three areas: 1) instruction features and tips, 2) equipment reviews and analysis and 3) travel tips and on-course instruction. Golf Tips Media Group’s mission is to educate golfers in the fundamentals and techniques of the game. This combination of print, online, e-mail and TV-generated media content produces the most comprehensive package of information for the serious golfer in the category.
