Scratch’s 58 degree JLM Series PDG Grind for “Sweeper/Slider” swings was used to great advantage by this returning PGA Tour veteran who also used a PDG last year down the stretch to secure his PGA Tour Card for 2008 by finishing 22nd on the 2007 Nationwide Tour Money List. Scratch Golf, which ended the last three months of the 2007 golf season as the PGA Nationwide Tour’s # 1 Forged Wedge. Continuing its growth on the PGA Tour in 2008 at the Puerto Rico Open, Scratch Golf also had a wedge in play with another player that made the cut and played on the weekend in Rio Grande. Back in February, Scratch wedges earned a top ten at the PGA Tour AT & T Pebble Beach Pro Am.
“It was a really good week for us on the PGA Tour down in Puerto Rico,” Scratch Golf Tour Rep Paul Friedrich stated. “Thanks again to all the pros that continue to use and those that are trying our unique line of wedges. We’ll be out again on the PGA Tour next week and the full Nationwide schedule gets going as well so we should be very active on Tour for the rest of the year.”
Scratch Golf JLM Series PDG “Sweeper/Slider” Grind
PDG
The PDG is the best all around performer of all the Sweeper/Slider grinds. High camber, low effective bounce and a thinner sole prevent the club from bouncing off the turf. Trailing edge relief allows the face to be opened without the leading edge coming off the ground.
