New VooDoo shaft finishes first or second for third consecutive week on PGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – Aldila was the #1 wood shaft manufacturer on the PGA and Nationwide Tours this past weekend, according to the Darrel Survey. “The Hottest Shafts in Golf” also swept the hybrid shaft manufacturer count on the PGA, Champions, Nationwide and LPGA Tours.
For the third consecutive week Aldila’s new VooDoo shaft, with its patent-pending S-core Technology™, finished in one of the top two spots either on the World Golf Championships or the PGA Tour. The shaft is currently under testing on the PGA Tour.
Aldila’s initial win with the VooDoo shaft came at the WGC-CA Championship after the winner made the switch to the VooDoo in his Driver. The next week, “The Hottest Shafts in Golf” followed that up with a second place finish at the Zurich Classic finishing just one stroke off the lead as the runner-up made the switch to Aldila’s new VooDoo shaft in his Driver and 3 Wood. This week the VooDoo placed second at the Shell Houston Open.
“Players continue to provide us with amazing feedback on the VooDoo shaft and its S-core Technology,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The newly developed technology used in the VooDoo shaft sets it apart from any other shaft on the market today.”
Aldila is not only the most popular wood and hybrid shaft on the PGA and Nationwide Tours, but they are also the number one brand of graphite shafts for consumers with new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for the third consecutive year, according to the Darrel Survey, 2007 U.S. National Survey.
“Aldila remains the leader, innovator and premier manufacturer of high performance graphite golf shafts,” said Bahl. “Whether you are a Tour pro, club champ or avid weekend player, Aldila remains the shaft of choice.”
