Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage Royal Dunes Golf Club, a private club surrounded by the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert and located in Maricopa, Ariz.
Built in 2002, this Fred Couples and Schmidt-Curley-designed golf course was created in the tradition of some of the world’s most coveted courses. Royal Dunes’ focus has always been to provide their members and guests with the finest playing surfaces and the ultimate challenge for their game. The course is spread over 320 acres, using about twice the land of a typical golf course, which has been transformed from flat terrain into a magnificent landscape of towering mounds, hollowed valleys and deep, sand-faced bunkering. The design team also combined wide, receptive fairways and stands of native grasses to create a course that is a visual departure from the desert golf layouts typical of the area.
