?Hottest Shafts in Golf? win wood shaft count on Nationwide Tour; dominate hybrid count on PGA, Nationwide, Champions Tours
POWAY, Calif. – There was no magic in Boo Weekley’s bag this past weekend to help him successfully defend his Verizon Heritage title, but he did use a little voodoo – Aldila’s new VooDoo™ shaft to be precise.
Weekley became the second player in five weeks to record a win using Aldila’s VooDoo™ shaft. He shot a 15-under 269 to win by three strokes and recorded 23 holes under par during the tournament, the most holes he has played under par in a single PGA Tour event. The VooDoo which feature Aldila’s new patented S-Core Technology™, was recently launched on Tour and has quickly become one of the most sought after shafts in golf. The new VooDoo will be available through leading manufacturers later this year.
“Two wins in five weeks on the Tour is the ultimate validation of our newly developed technology and the VooDoo is the first shaft to feature it,” said Mike Rossi, Aldila’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Since its introduction on Tour, players have given us amazing feedback on the VooDoo and the S-core Technology really makes the shaft unlike anything else out there. ”
It wasn’t the VooDoo, but Aldila’s VS Proto™ that helped the winner post her fourth consecutive victory on the LPGA Tour with a victory at the Ginn Open. With the win, she became the first player to win four straight tournaments on the LPGA Tour in 45 years.
“The Hottest Shafts in Golf” continued to blaze a trail on Tour as Aldila won the wood shaft manufacturer count on the Nationwide Tour and dominated the hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA, Nationwide and Champions Tours. Tour players chose Aldila’s hybrid shafts over the next leading competitor by a margin of more than 2 to 1 on all three Tours.
Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf. To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. We do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
