Duke Reclaims Top Spot
NEW YORK, NY-The fourth Golf World/NGCA Division I Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The complete results, including results from Divisions II and III, will appear in the April 25th issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com.
Duke takes over the number one spot in the poll, earning 13 of the 23 first-place votes. The Blue Devils won the ACC Championship this past weekend for the 13th straight year, beating Virginia by one shot. It was Duke’s fourth victory of the season.
Rounding out the top-five are UCLA (No. 2), Southern California (No. 3), Arizona State (No. 4) and Florida (No. 5).
Alabama (No. 8) joins the top-10 after winning the Crimson Tide Classic two weeks ago.
Texas A&M (No. 22) is the lone newcomer to the top-25.
