POWAY, Calif. – Using Aldila’s VS Proto™ and NV™ shafts in his woods and hybrids, the winner of the Nationwide Tour’s Henrico County Open near Richmond, Va., arose victorious after the second playoff hole in sudden death. The win catapulted him to Number 2 on the season’s money list with $161,154. At the end of the year the top 25 will move onto the PGA Tour in 2009.
“The Hottest Shafts in Golf” also won the wood shaft manufacturer count and the hybrid shaft count on the Nationwide Tour, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila was also the hybrid shaft of choice at the 2008 EDS Byron Nelson Championship on the PGA Tour.
On the LPGA Tour, Aldila Advisory Staff Member Paula Creamer moved into the lead on the first-half ADT Points standings on the LPGA Tour with her second place finish at the Stanford International Pro-Am Sunday. Through seven events, Creamer has amassed 558,150 ADT Points.
