GolfLogix Offers Free Demo Unit to US Golf Courses

April 30, 2008

Scottsdale, Arizona -April 30, 2008 – GolfLogix, Inc. announced a new demonstration program offering FREE GolfLogix GPS-8 units to US golf courses. Participating courses will be able to handout the GPS device, allowing golfers to try the system before they buy it. The new GPS-8 holds 20 courses, includes a distance of last shot feature and automatically displays up to six hazards and lay-ups on each hole plus the front, center and back of each green with large numbers on an easy-to-read screen.

With a wholesale purchase as low as one GolfLogix GPS-8 unit, a US golf course receives a FREE GolfLogix demo kit which includes a new GolfLogix GPS-8 unit preloaded with the designated golf course, a suction-cup cart mount, rechargeable batteries and a countertop point-of-purchase demo display. Initial tests of the demo program have already proven successful. “I sold six units after the first day of sending out the demo unit,” stated Jason Walter, Director of Golf at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Arizona.

“GolfLogix GPS-8 is a perfect fit for an on-course demo because it is so easy to use,” says Gary McCord, Champion’s Tour player. The device requires no training. There are no lasers to point, menus to scroll through or buttons to push during the round. “With other devices, you could miss your tee time if you tried to learn it before your round but GolfLogix does everything for you,” says McCord. “”If you can turn it on, you can use it. It’s that simple!” GolfLogix GPS-8 automatically advances to the next hole as well as identifies the course being played.

GolfLogix GPS-8 durability is another factor making it conducive to a demonstration program. Manufactured by Garmin, a world leader in GPS, the GPS-8 is designed for outdoor sports. The device is 100% waterproof and shock resistant, allowing it to hold up to the rigors of a commercial application. It can be sent out round-after-round without failure or damage.

GolfLogix GPS-8 began shipping March 2008 and retails for $299.95, which includes one FREE golf course download. Unlimited worldwide course maps can be downloaded for a low annual subscription fee of $29.95. GolfLogix is compatible on many computer platforms including Windows, XP, Vista and Mac and comes with an unprecedented 12-month warranty. GolfLogix is available through major sports and golf retailers or can be purchased directly at www.GolfGPS.com.
