BEDFORD, PENN. -April 29, 2008- Golfers who “just can’t seem to play enough” will be able to play all the golf they can handle this season at the Bedford Springs Resort thanks to the Resort’s Unlimited Golf Package.
This “golf-fanatic’s dream-come-true” is available Sunday through Thursday nights, starting at $199 per person, per night including luxurious accommodations, unlimited golf play, use of golf cart and unrestricted access to the practice facility. Prices are effective through July 2, 2008 and do not include the $20 resort fee per night and room tax. The first tee time for the Unlimited Golf Package can be made at the time of reservation. Additional tee times can be made after check-in. This offer represents a 40% savings off regular prices.
Ranked by Golfweek magazine as the leading classic course available for public play, the Old Course has evolved through original contributions by three forefathers of American golf course design: Spencer Oldham (1895), A.W. Tillinghast (1912) and Donald Ross (1923). Select golf holes at Bedford Springs are thought to be some of the first golf holes built in America.
Named the “Renovation of the Year” for 2007 by Golf Inc. magazine, this unique and historic collaboration of golf holes stretches across the foot of the Allegheny Mountains along Shobers Run creek, a tributary of the Juniata River, weaving amid the 200-year-old oaks, serene meadows and marshes of picturesque Bedford Springs Valley. The par 72, which ranges from 5,050 to a maximum of 6,795 yards, features Bentgrass greens, fairways and tees, with rough consisting of bluegrass and fescue.
Reopened last summer, Bedford Springs Resort is a four-season resort situated in the Southern Allegheny Mountains of south-central Pennsylvania.
