Victory at FedEx Kinko's in Alignment for SST PURE®

JUPITER, Fla. – Taking golf club performance to the next level, SST PURE® shaft alignment technology maximized shaft performance and delivered another victory this weekend on the Champions Tour. This weekend’s champion at the FedEx Kinko’s Classic in Austin, Texas, is among more than 200 PGA, European and Champions Tour professionals who have either requested their shafts be PUREd or had shafts PUREd by their representatives, clubmakers or OEM shaft manufacturers.
Enhancing performance on the PGA Tour for nine years now, patented SST PURE technology developed by Strategic Shaft Technologies (SST) L.C. has radically altered players’ expectations on shaft performance.
“We congratulate the champion on his second Champions Tour victory of the season and his new fifth-place position in the Charles Schwab Cup,” says Dick Weiss, managing partner of Strategic Shaft Technologies L.C. and founder of the SST PURE shaft alignment process. “SST PURE is the No. 1 shaft alignment technology on pro tours worldwide, but properly aligning shafts to their most stable orientation is a technology which benefits golfers of all skill levels.”
Former USGA Technical Director Frank Thomas recently wrote in his newsletter, explains Weiss, that golf technology has reached the limit in distance improvement [from golf club design] and that every shaft has imperfections that prevent it from being 100 percent straight. “That’s exactly the types of structural irregularities that the PURE process eliminates or minimizes,” says Weiss. “The PURE shaft alignment process has been independently tested and scientifically proven to minimize off-line shaft bending and/or twisting during the swing and to significantly improve impact repeatability on the center of the club face by up to 51 percent. The net result is longer, straighter shots.”
The SST PURE shaft alignment process utilizes proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors to accurately analyze the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and to locate the shaft’s most stable orientation. As a result of the process, SST produces a visual graph and analysis report that illustrates the shafts’ performance results ‘before and after’ the PURE process and detailing three key aspects of PURE alignment. The first is a 360-degree evaluation of the shaft’s stiffness, roundness and straightness, known as the ‘Load Symmetry Index’ (LSI) test; the shaft’s oscillation in the ‘logo up’ or the factory-installed shaft position in the clubhead, and the shaft’s oscillation when in the PURE-aligned position. The SST analysis also records the performance percentage each shaft was improved.
“The success of our patented SST PURE technology is documented more than any other product or service in golf because we scientifically verify and record each shaft’s improvement before AND after PUREing.”
