The Legacy Golf Club To Host Southern Nevada's US Open Qualifying

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The Legacy Golf Club will host the US Open Local Qualifying Round on May 13, 2008. No stranger to important events, The Legacy has hosted US Open Qualifiers in the past as well as a host of American Junior Golf Association events.

The USGA must agree; they’ve held the event here 9 or 10 times now.”
The Legacy is the first stop in the journey to the US Open with the winner advancing to a regional event and from there to the US Open. In the event of a tie for first place, all players deadlocked at the top advance to the regional qualifier.
The Legacy Golf Club, a true test of golf at 7,233 yards from the back tees, is conveniently located 10 minutes from McCarran International Airport. The 10th hole may be the most recognizable in Las Vegas with tee boxes in the shape of a spade, club, diamond and heart.
