Phoenix, Arizona – Daphne’s Headcovers, the original headcover company, today announced another record sales growth reporting period. The steady growth has exceeded the company’s most optimistic projections for 2008.
In first quarter this year, Daphne’s Headcovers reported a 19% increase globally over last year’s numbers.
Jane Spicer, president of Daphne’s Headcovers, explained, “We’re very proud of our company’s continued growth, especially in the face of a sluggish economy. Our strong showing at the PGA Merchandise Show in January gave us a nice boost with orders up over 12% from the previous year.”

She is encouraged by the growth and is optimistic that it is a good indicator for the golf business, as well. “Our retail partners continue to report excellent sell-through with our headcovers,” Spicer said. “Our new products have been met with anticipation and enthusiasm and we strive to stay ahead of the curve with new designs and improvements to our old favorites.”
Spicer is quick to credit a passionate staff for the company’s continued growth. “Our Regional Account Managers and Field Sales Representatives are the ones on the line and they do a marvelous job,” she explained. “But like the rest of us at Daphne’s Headcovers, they recognize that it takes a strong team to go from design, to manufacturing to shipping and to do it all on a timely basis. I think our sales numbers speak to the fact that we’re doing something right.”
