(POCONO MOUNTAINS, Pennsylvania) – The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau invites golfers to enjoy golf at one of its 35 golf-and-resort properties, which combine to form Pocono Mountains: Discover Golf’s Great Destination Secret, a coalition of properties which include an excellent mix of modern and classical designs.

“The Pocono Mountains offer all the golf anyone can want … from classic courses by legendary designers or modern gems by some of today’s top architects,” says Carl Wilgus, Executive Director of the PMVB. “There are myriad courses from which to choose and a variety of stay-and-play options to make for a relaxing weekend, midweek break or extended getaway.”

With a plethora of entrances into the scenic Pocono Mountains, golfers have a wealth of playing options – all within close proximity to other activities such as hiking, biking, boating, dining, shopping, spas, and much more.

A short trip off Interstate 80, westbound travelers will find nine courses within close proximity – including designs by legendary architects A.W. Tillinghast and Jack Nicklaus.

Eastbound travelers entering the Pocono Mountains along Interstate 80 have a glorious mix of old and new. In addition to Mount Airy Casino Resort (Mount Pocono; 570-839-8816), which is closed for renovations this season, options include:
