PLANO, TEXAS, May 21, 2008 – Adams Golf (NasdaqCM:ADGF) strengthened its position as the leading hybrid company on tour after winning the hybrid counts on the PGA, Nationwide and Champions Tours last week. The three tours have been in action during the same week seven times in 2008 with Adams Golf sweeping the hybrid counts each of those weeks.
According to Darrell Survey information, Adams Golf has won the hybrid count at 17 of the first 22 PGA Tour events, including the AT&T Classic in Duluth, Georgia last week. With 46 of its hybrids in play, including the new Idea Pro Gold Boxer, Adams Golf accounted for over 37% of the hybrid category. In comparison, the next closest competitor had 26 of its hybrids in play and the third place company had only 16 in play.
Continuing its streak as the #1 hybrid company on the Nationwide Tour since the summer of 2006, Adams Golf dominated the hybrid count at the BMW Charity Pro-Am last week with 69 of its hybrids in play, 26 more than the next company. So far in 2008, there has been 663 Idea hybrids played by Nationwide Tour pros, an average of 66 per tournament. In comparison the #2 company has had 306 hybrids in play at an average of 30 per tournament.
The company capped off the week with its 69th consecutive hybrid count win on the Champions Tour, dating back to the end of the 2005 season. At the Regions Charity Classic, Idea hybrids accounted for 54% of the total number in play, according to the Darrell Survey.
