Sporty headwear designed for women available at select LPGA, PGA events
CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Gogie Girl, golf headwear designed specifically for women, has been selected by the Wegman’s LPGA Championship to provide 600 hats for their women volunteers. They will also have a prominent role in select LPGA tournaments and on the Duramed Futures Tour as Gogie Girl becomes the most talked about sporty headwear for women.
“We’re excited and honored that the Wegman’s LPGA Championship (June 19-22 in Pittsford, N.Y.) has selected Gogie Girl hats for their women volunteers,” said Vicky Waldorf, Gogie Girl Co-Founder and wife of well-recognized PGA Tour veteran Duffy Waldorf. “The tournament organizers think enough of their female volunteers to give them a hat that is comfortable and fits properly because it’s designed for women, rather than giving them a man’s hat that they have to tighten until it’s out of shape.”
In addition to the Wegman’s LPGA Championship, Gogie Girl hats will also be available in merchandise tents and pro shops at the LPGA Corning Classic in Corning, N.Y. (May 22-25), the Long’s Drugs Challenge in Danville, Calif. (Oct. 9-12) and the ADT Championship at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. (Nov. 20-23). Gogie Girl expects to be in several more LPGA events by the end of the season.
Not only is Gogie Girl headwear proudly displayed at select LPGA events, but Jaclyn Burch, a 22-year old Duramed Futures Tour player from Satellite Beach, Fla. is the first player on any Tour to have a Gogie Girl bag. Jaclyn, and her mother Geannie, will also be sporting Gogie Girl headwear.
A rookie who loves wearing Gogie Girl hats on the LPGA Tour, Hannah Jun, will soon be representing Gogie Girl with their logo on her golf bag.
You can also catch Gogie Girl in merchandise tents and pro shops on the PGA Tour at the following events: the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial – Fort Worth, Texas (May 22-25), the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley at Muirfield Village Golf Club – Dublin, Ohio (May 29- June 1), Stanford St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind – Memphis Tenn. (June 5-8), Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands – Cromwell, Conn. (June 19-22), John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run – Silvas, Ill. (July 10-13), Legends Reno-Tahoe Open at Montreux Golf and Country Club – Reno, Nev. (July 31- Aug. 3), Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston – Norton, Mass. (Aug. 28-Sept. 1), and the Frys.Com Open at Grayhawk Golf Club – Raptor, Scottsdale, Ariz. (Oct. 23-26).
“We’re very gratified by how the Tour professionals have supported us,” Waldorf said. “That support is sweeping into the pro shops and retail outlets and the numbers are growing on a daily basis. Our representative in the Orlando area, Lenny Wolf has opened 75 new accounts in just 45 days. The response to the product is amazing.”
