New David McLay Kidd Design in Bend, Oregon To Offer Limited Reciprocal Play
BEND, OREGON -Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, Oregon recently announced that the course opening date has been set for July 26th 2008. The David McLay Kidd-designed Tetherow golf course is centerpiece to a 700-acre golf resort community currently under development on Bend’s picturesque Westside. The golf course at Tetherow features a brilliant layout with Kidd’s signature design traits that encourage elements of links-style play such as playing the game along the ground as well as the air. The course’s imaginative routing fits cohesively with the natural terrain, while providing an eclectic mix of golf holes framed by ragged bunkers, knobs and knolls. All surrounded by stunning panoramic views of the Cascade peaks and high desert terrain.
“As we get closer to the opening of Tetherow the excitement both locally and throughout the country continues to grow,” stated Martin Chuck, Director of Golf at Tetherow. “The striking design that David McLay Kidd has created, combined with the stunning scenery and exceptional agronomic standards will create one of the most unique, memorable and golf experiences in the region,” added Chuck.
While Tetherow will be one of the region’s premier private clubs, exclusive access to the course will also be provided to guests at the future Hotel Tetherow. Prior to the Hotel Tetherow completion, limited guest play will be allowed for two hours per day at Tetherow Golf Club on a space available basis, starting July 27th 2008.

“The introductory play we are allowing will provide golfers with a special opportunity to experience Tetherow and this special David McLay Kidd design, first hand. We are confident that those lucky golfers who have a chance to experience Tetherow will want to inquire about membership and make Tetherow their home club,” added Chuck.
