EuroPro Tour Winner Used Company’s New Tour AD YSQ in Victory
(SAN DIEGO, California) – Graphite Design’s Pershing shaft drove a pair of women’s champs and the runner-up at the BMW PGA Championship while the winner of the weekend’s EuroPro Tour event played the company’s new Tour AD YSQ model, according to the Darrell Survey.
The winner of the LPGA’s Corning Classic and the Ladies European Tour’s Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open swung Pershing shafts in their drivers en route to their triumphs. While the Corning Classic champ notched a 71-percent driving accuracy rate for the week, the Swiss Open winner set a tour record with a three-round total of 22-under par in the rain-shortened event.
Also using Pershing was the runner-up at the European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship. Playing Pershing in his driver and 3-wood, the player hit 69.6 percent of fairways over four rounds to earn a spot in a sudden-death playoff. In addition, Graphite Design’s new Tour AD YSQ shaft model powered the winner of the EuroPro Tour’s Faithlegg Irish Championship.
On the Japan Tour, Graphite Design claimed the graphite wood shaft brand count at the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup with 177 shafts in play – 78 more than the nearest competitor and 37 percent of the total.
“It was a highly successful weekend for players using Graphite Design shafts and we congratulate the winners on their performances,” said Tim Gillis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Graphite Design. “Our Pershing shaft continues to gain momentum among professionals, while amateurs have discovered it can maximize performance for a variety of swing types. Meanwhile, the distance, accuracy and feel of the Tour AD YSQ shaft has made it extremely popular among consumers and equipment makers, and it’s gaining traction in the pro ranks as well.”
