May 27, 2008; Phoenix Arizona: PING pro Miguel Angel Jimenez’ second win of the season-and most prestigious in his 20-year professional career-came in spectacular fashion after a final round hole-in-one helped carry him to a playoff victory at the BMW PGA Championship and the No.1 spot on the European Tour Order of Merit.

The 44-year-old Spaniard also sits atop the European Ryder Cup points list following his 15th career win.

The hole-in-one, his second of the season, came on the 187-yard 5th hole at the Wentworth Club. His PING® S59™ 4-iron shot hopped twice before landing in the hole and vaulting him into the lead. From there, he went on to complete a final round of 68 to finish 11-under-par and gain a spot in the two-man playoff. Jimenez’ two-putt birdie on the second extra hole earned him the trophy at the European Tour’s flagship event.

Jimenez carried 14 PING clubs en route to his victory, including a Rapture® Driver, two TiSI Tec™ Fairway Woods, S59 Irons, Tour-W® Wedges and a Redwood® Anser® Putter.
