Four TaylorMade Tour Staff Pros Finish in Top Five

CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 2, 2008) – TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Kenny Perry won The Memorial for the third time and took a step closer to accomplishing his goal of playing in this year’s Ryder Cup Matches, set to be held in at Valhalla Country Club in his home state of Kentucky.

Perry, who has been a fixture atop PGA Tour leader boards for the past three weeks, relied on the power and accuracy of his new Tour Burner® driver to help him post an 8-under par effort with rounds of 66-71-74-69 to win and move into fifth place on the U.S. Ryder Cup points list.

Averaging nearly 290 yards per tee shot, Perry nailed 82% of his fairways (T9) which enabled him to find 66% of greens in regulation (T7).*

The win was third for the new Tour Burner driver, which was the number one driver model on the PGA Tour for the 10th consecutive week with 14 in play.** The Tour Burner driver has been used by the winner and/or the runner-up on the PGA Tour in each of the past four weeks. In addition to Perry’s use of the Tour Burner at The Memorial, Mike Weir also put the driver in play to finish second. Rod Pampling also used the Tour Burner to place second at the Crown Plaza Invitational, while Perry used it the week before in his runner-up finish at the AT&T.

On the European Tour, the Tour Burner was used to win the Celtic Manor Wales Open.

Earlier this year, TaylorMade-adidas Golf staffers Sergio Garcia and Andres Romero used the Tour Burner en route to winning The Players Championship and the Zurich Classic respectively.

Engineered for all types of players seeking tour-caliber distance, the TaylorMade Tour Burner driver features Dual Crown technology to create an exceptionally low center of gravity that makes it easier to create vertical-gear effect at impact, which achieve the high launch angle / low spin-rate combination that promotes greater distance. Three additional TaylorMade Golf Tour Staffers finished in a tie for second behind Perry: Mike Weir, Matt Goggin, and Justin Rose, who played the TaylorMade TP Red golf ball with LDP technology. It was the highest finish at a PGA Tour event this year for all three players.

TaylorMade was the No. 1 brand of driver, fairway wood, and hybrid at The Memorial Tournament.
