ATLANTA, June 2, 2008 – Srixon’s Karrie Webb finished at 14 under par at the Ginn Tribute hosted by Annika last weekend, but lost in a one-hole playoff to finish second. On the PGA Tour, Srixon’s Robert Allenby shot even par at the difficult Murifield Village Golf Club to finish T-10th at the Memorial Tournament.
Webb, who has already recorded three top 10s in only eight starts on tour this year, uses the Srixon Z-URS golf ball and the new Z-RW driver. She is currently No. 8 on the Money List going into next week’s second major of the season, the McDonalds LPGA Championship.
Allenby, which ranked No. 2 in Greens in Regulation last week, uses Srixon irons and the Srixon Z-UR golf ball. This is his fourth top-10 finish this year and he is currently No. 24 on the tour’s Money List and No. 22 in the FedEx Cup standings.
The Srixon Z-URS golf ball consists of the softest urethane cover the company has ever created. The ball provides soft feel on all shots from tee to green and greenside spin control on approach shots. The ball features a high trajectory 330-dimple pattern that provides a strong and penetrating trajectory in all wind conditions.
