Annual list celebrates the country’s top female collegiate golfers
ORLANDO, Fla., (June 3, 2008) – Golfweek, the publication preferred by serious golfers, honors the top female players in college golf with the release of Golfweek’s Women’s All-America Teams, which is featured in the magazine’s June 7 issue.
“College golf is an important part of who we are and what we do at Golfweek, and it gives us great pleasure to announce our annual Golfweek All-America Team,” said Golfweek Editor Jeff Babineau. “With the tremendous depth in college golf today, these players should be proud that they are being recognized as the very best.”
The 10-player First Team is led by Golfweek’s College Player of the Year, junior Amanda Blumenherst of Duke. Blumenherst won four tournaments this season and tied her own school record with a stroke average of 71.0.
