Itasca, IL (June 19, 2008) Excel Golf Products, Inc. has formed a strong Excel Golf Team with PGA Tour players, Kenny Perry, Ryan Palmer, and Dean Wilson, along with Long Driver’s Sean “The Beast” Fister and Frank Miller. They are supported on Tour by veteran manufacture’s representative, Ken McDonald. Excel Golf Team’s three PGA Tour players are represented by Dennis Harrington, owner of Orasi Sports, who has been working with Excel Golf Products, Inc. since 2005.
The make-up of the Excel Golf team began in 2005, with Kenny Perry. Since 1984, Perry has had 91 top-ten finishes and since 1987, 10 victories and 12 second place finishes on the tour. His latest victory came at the Memorial Tournament on June 1, 2008. It was his third win at the Memorial Tournament with prior victories in 1991 and 2003; Tiger Woods is the only other player to win the Memorial Tournament 3 times. Other top ten finishes of this year include a 2nd place finish came at the AT & T Classic in May of this year and one 3rd place finish at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in January. With the help of the Zero Friction Golf Tee and the Tocarè Grip, Perry is ranked in the top 10% in driving distance with an average of 295.2 yards. Currently, Perry has made 15 cuts in the 2008 season and is currently ranked 6th in FedEx Cup points.
Another member of the Excel Golf Team is Ryan Palmer, who turned pro in 2000 and has been on the Excel Team since 2007. Palmer has a driving distance of 293.5 yards, ranking 34th in the 2008 season thus far. Palmer’s best finish in 2008 season came at the AT & T Classic, where he joined Kenny Perry with a top ten finish. In his short amount of time on the PGA Tour, Palmer has had 11 top ten finishes, with a victory and second place finish in 2004.
Rounding out the Excel Team on Tour is Dean Wilson, a 16-year PGA Tour veteran. Wilson began his affiliation with Excel in 2007. Since 2003, Wilson has had 18 top ten finishes with a victory and second place finish in 2006. The Zero Friction Golf Tee has helped Wilson to achieve a driving distance of 272.2 yards.
In the Long Driver’s of America, Sean “The Beast” Fister joined the Excel Golf Team in 2005. He is the three time world long drive champion, winning in 1995, 2001, and 2005. His longest drive has been 515 yards and he currently uses the 4″ zero friction tee when competing in Long Drive events.
The newest member of the Excel Golf Team is also a member of the Long Driver’s of America. Frank Miller is the 2007 senior REMAX World Long Drive champion and previous three time world champion.
Finally, Ken McDonald is a representative of the Zero Friction Golf Tee and Tocarè Grip and is an integral member of the Excel Golf Team. McDonald travels with the PGA Tour supporting Tour players who play the Zero Friction Performance Golf Tee and the Tocarè Grip.
