Nike Golf’s PGA TOUR Dominance Continues with Nine Wins by Six Different Champions

Nike Golf’s Stewart Cink kept the winning streak for Nike Golf alive with his first victory of the 2008 season at the Travelers Championship. Cink’s triumphant performance is Nike’s third consecutive win on the PGA Tour following Justin Leonard’s victory at the Stanford St. Jude Championship two weeks ago and Tiger Woods’ unforgettable win at the U.S. Open this past week.

Cink, who switched to a Nike square-shape driver at the start of the season, averaged 299-yard drives with the combination of his Nike SUMO” Tour Driver and Nike One Black ball. With nine PGA Tour wins this year by six different Nike Golf athletes, the Nike SQ family of drivers and Nike ONE family of balls are the winningest combination on Tour. Rounding out Cink’s Nike Golf arsenal were his SQ2 3 and 5-woods, 3-4 Pro Combo OS irons, 5-PW CCi Irons and his 54 and 60-degree Pro Combo wedges.

With Cink’s victory, Nike Golf’s success is amplified with four of its athletes in the top 10 in FedEx Cup Points: Woods (1), Cink (2), Leonard (4) and Anthony Kim (10). Nike Golf also is two-for-two in Major Championships this season with Trevor Immelman’s victory at The Masters Tournament and Tiger Woods’ victory at The U.S. Open.

With a successful Tour staff playing with the most innovative products, Nike Golf continues to lead the PGA Tour in driver, iron, fairway woods and wedge wins.
