Advisory Staff Member Paula Creamer becomes fastest player to $5 million on LPGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – Using Aldila’s VS Proto™ in her hybrid clubs, the winner of the U.S. Women’s Open at Interlachen Country Club shot a 72-69-71-71 283 (-9) to win by four strokes. The South Korean became the season’s fifth Rolex First-Time Winner and also the youngest player at 19 to win the U.S. Women’s Open.
Aldila Staff Member Paula Creamer became the fastest player (3 years, 4 months, 5 days) in LPGA Tour history to eclipse the $5 million earning $94,117 with her sixth place finish at the Open. To date Creamer has earned $5,049,885 on the LPGA Tour and has made at least $1 million each year she has been on Tour. She currently sits at third place on the LPGA Official Money List for 2008 after 14 events.
According to the Darrell Survey, “The Hottest Shafts in Golf” also won the wood shaft manufacturer count on the Nationwide Tour and were the number one hybrid shaft of choice on the PGA, Nationwide, LPGA and Champions Tours.
Not only is Aldila the most popular hybrid shaft on every Tour, but they are also the number one brand of graphite shafts for consumers with new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for the third consecutive year, according to the Darrell Survey, 2007 U.S. National Survey. Which begs the question … are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
