#1 Brand on Tour Wins on PGA, LPGA & EUPGA Tours
Marlborough, MA-July 8th, 2008- CHAMP Spikes, the #1 Brand on Tour, came out on top this weekend taking three victories across all tours. From the nation’s capital region to England’s capital city, CHAMP Spikes held trophies up across the globe to continue a strong 2008 season.
On the PGA Tour’s AT&T National at Congressional, the winner and six of the top ten finishers sported various spikes from CHAMP. The 23 year-old victor closed with a 5-under 65 for a two-shot victory over his nearest competitor, giving him his second tour win of the season.
At the 2008 European Open in Kent, England the 27 year-old Englishman turned to CHAMP’s Pro Stinger™ spike for his traction needs. The Pro Stinger, the industry’s only hybrid spike, combines the cushion of a plastic spike with the firm grip of a traditional metal spike for unsurpassed traction and comfort. The champion started the tournament on solid footing, shooting a course-record 63 on the Open’s first day and eventually won by a seven-stroke margin.
At a saturated Pinnacle Country Club in Rodgers, Arkansas, the LPGA winner chose the traction and durability of the CHAMP Scorpion Stinger™ spike to carry her through the wet weekend. By shooting 15-under-par for the tournament, the winner joins three other members of the LPGA to have two or more wins on the season.
