(SUN VALLEY, Idaho) – Sun Valley Resort – the amenity-rich mountain oasis in central Idaho and home to the award-winning Trail Creek Golf Course – today announces that a bird’s-eye view of the scintillating, new White Clouds Course at Sun Valley can be seen on the resort’s website http://www.sunvalley.com/SunValley/info/act.golf.new.aspx
Scheduled to open this summer, and resting at some nearly 6,000 feet high, its panoramic views are among the most stunning course architect Donald Knott has encountered in his decades of award-winning design work. This is a particularly strong statement given that Knott, who worked with Robert Trent Jones Jr. for many years, was chief architect on several of the world’s best-rated courses, including the Prince Course at Princeville Resort in Kaua’i, Hawaii. Knott was also chief architect of the Trail Creek Course at Sun Valley, which the Trent Jones Jr. firm redesigned in 1978-79.
In addition to White Clouds Course, Sun Valley is unveiling several other new amenities this summer: a 58,000-square-foot golf clubhouse, which includes an indoor practice facility and serves as the Nordic Skiing Center in the winter, an 18-hole putting course, a 12-acre practice facility, and a Pavilion where top classical and other musicians from around the world perform in the Sun Valley Summer Symphony.
