Agreement Expands Company’s Presence in Russia
Scottsdale, Ariz. (July 16, 2008) – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage Agalarov Estates, Moscow’s first fully integrated private golf community. Hud Hinton, president and COO, Troon Golf, met with owner Aras Agalarov this week for the official signing ceremony.
This upscale golf community is set on 840 acres of rich, fertile land just 25 minutes from downtown Moscow. It features 260 exclusive residences, an 18-hole championship golf course, 65,000 square-foot clubhouse, town homes and apartments, as well as several other recreation facilities. Designed by American golf architect Cal Olson, the 7,100-yard parkland layout features a dramatic undulating course, thematically set in a water environment. Dramatic water features include meandering streams and scenic waterfalls that will occasionally come into play, offering challenges for players of any ability. The course will be fashioned with lush and mature trees, as well as 90 strategically placed bunkers. Members and guests will also enjoy an upscale practice facility and professional golf learning center. All 18 holes are scheduled to be open for play in the summer of 2009, along with the Mediterranean-style clubhouse.
“Agalarov Estates is an exciting addition to our portfolio,” stated Hinton. “We believe the community’s extraordinary setting combined with the unparalleled service and playing conditions that Troon Golf is known for, will create an unforgettable experience for members and guests.”
Highlights at Agalarov Estates also include the Beach Club, set on the shore of a fresh water lake. The Beach Club will provide members and guests with a wide range of water activities and outdoor amenities. Additionally, the community’s Sports Club will offer state of the art gym equipment, indoor synthetic tennis courts, outdoor all-weather courts, a bowling alley and an indoor mixed-use sport hall. Adjacent to the Beach Club lies the exclusive 45-room, all-suite boutique hotel and International Spa that will provide members and their guests a wide range of treatments in a relaxing atmosphere.
“My first meeting with Troon Golf was in September 2007 at The Montgomerie Dubai,” stated Aras Agalarov, owner, Crocus Group. “I was impressed with the management’s professional approach the moment I arrived and was served a refreshingly cold face towel and a glass of ice-cold juice. These touches, including air-conditioned golf carts, are the particulars that developers look for in a management company. Troon Golf’s attention to detail and unique offerings are the reasons why Agalarov Estates is now a part of Troon Golf’s portfolio of high profile properties.”
Agalarov Estates will also establish a range of golf and sports academies for all age groups, with the aim of creating an energetic sporting environment. Managed by qualified PGA professional instructors, with an initial focus on golf, each academy will provide a platform for all ages to excel in their chosen activity and to foster club life with family and friends.
