Nearly 60% Of The Field At The Open Championship, And 72% Of The Field At The U.S. Bank Championship, Utilized PrideSports Products
Brentwood, Tennessee, July 18, 2008 … PrideSports, maker of Softspikes® cleats, the #1 cleat brand on TOUR, took a commanding lead after the opening round of The Open Championship, as nearly 60% of the elite field utilized PrideSports’ stable of products including Pulsar™, the #1 Cleat on TOUR, and Black Widow™, the world’s #1 selling golf cleat model. In addition, 12 of the top 16 ranked players, including 72% of the overall plastic cleat and metal spike field, at the PGA TOUR’s U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee chose PrideSports products.
The early round success for PrideSports on tour comes on the heels of last week’s PGA TOUR action, where nearly 80% of the players wearing either plastic cleats or metal spikes chose PrideSports products, including 61 players who chose to wear the Softspikes® Pulsar™ Cleat.
