(Vancouver, BC, Canada) – Popular designer Linda Hipp announces her golf and sportswear brand, LIJA, has been named a “Resort Top Seller” in the June and July issues of PGA Magazine.
Highlighted in the magazine’s monthly “What’s Selling” section, LIJA ranked as one of resort facilities’ best-selling women’s apparel brands in a poll of 2000-2007 PGA Section Merchandisers of the Year and members of the Association of Golf Merchandisers.
The company, which fuses sport, leisure and fashion, is known for its ability to bridge the gap between on- and off-course style. Hipp has been personally recognized by Golf For Women magazine as “instrumental” in pushing the evolution of women’s golfwear into a chic market category that transcends the game.
“At LIJA, we have always pushed the boundaries between golf and fashion, and in 2008 we introduced an entirely new off-course Life of Leisure collection,” says Hipp. “As we continue to expand our lifestyle offerings, it’s wonderful praise to have industry insiders call the line a ‘Top Seller’ and be recognized in PGA Magazine for our success.”
LIJA’s recently introduced Fall 2008 collections offer clothing for all aspects of the modern women’s active lifestyle and feature unique color stories, chic details and an expanded range of outerwear across more than 200 pieces. Shipping of these collections will continue through December.
The brand is a staple in finer golf and non-golf retailers across North America, including world-renowned resorts and clubs like Pebble Beach, Kiawah Island and Whistling Straits. The Spring 2008 collections are currently available in stores and online.

An avid and highly-skilled golfer, Hipp struggled to find on-course apparel that meshed with her off-course fashion sensibility. Recognizing a market opportunity — and the chance to combine her passions for fashion, golf and business — Hyp Golf was launched in July 1997. The company re-branded as LIJA in late 2004. Chiefly influenced by both European trends and West Coast style, Hipp has garnered a widespread reputation as one of North America’s hottest sportswear designers.
