ATLANTA, July 21, 2008 – Srixon’s Henrik Stenson, Jim Furyk and Robert Allenby weathered the wind, rain and cold to finish in the top 10 at the 137th British Open Championship at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England.
Stenson finished 9-over par and finished T-3rd. He used the Srixon I-701 irons and Srixon Z-UR Series golf ball. Stenson is currently ranked No. 6 on the European Tour’s Order of Merit.
Furyk played steady all week, firing a final-round 71 to put him at 10-over par and T-5th. This is Furyk’s sixth top-five on tour this year. He uses the Srixon irons, Srixon Z-URC golf ball and Srixon wedges. Furyk moved up two spots in the FedEx Cup points standings and is currently No. 13.
Aussie Robert Allenby continues his strong play, recording his seventh top-10 finish of the year. His 12-over-par total put him T-7th and moves him to No. 11 on the FedEx Cup points standings.
