Itasca, IL (July 22, 2008) The Zero Friction Performance Golf Tee played at the British Open this past weekend at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. The winner of the tournament ranked in the top 18% overall in driving distance on the PGA Tour with an average distance of 294.0 yards. The winner jumped 31 spots in the Fed Ex Cup rankings after his win and is now in 9th place.

The Zero Friction Golf Tee is being used by players at every major PGA Tour event. The very unique 3-prong design significantly reduces the contact area between the golf ball and the tee. At impact, this small degree of contact reduction or resistance results in increased accuracy and distance. The number of top ten wins this year on the tournament has risen dramatically and owner and founder, John Iacono stated “I am excited to see that such a variety of players are using the tee on the Tour and I am looking forward to continued success of all players that enjoy to use our unique design.”
