GALLOWAY, N.J., July 25, 2008…Looking for an exciting weekend getaway…and a little taste of paradise? Look no further! Seaview Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort, one of the premier resort destinations in the Northeast, in conjunction with the Jersey Shore “Parrott Head” Club, today announced that limited spots are available for the “Golfballs in Paradise” weekend golf tournament. Proceeds from this exciting event will benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Jersey and the Atlantic County Women’s Center.
“Golfballs in Paradise” kicks-off on Saturday, August 23 with a Tropical Buffet featuring island delights, complemented by the sensational sounds of authentic island music. Following dinner, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a beach volleyball tournament, or a chance to polish their golf skills with some night golf.
On Sunday, August 24, the “Golfballs in Paradise” golf tournament will officially start at 8 a.m. with a shotgun scramble on Seaview’s famed Bay Course. Guests will truly feel like they are on an island vacation as the Bay Course will be transformed to reflect the sites and sounds of the tropics, including Tiki Huts, and authentic island music such as Jimmy Buffett. Following golf, guests are invited to Seaview’s Tropical Bar-B-Cue on the 19th hole for fruity drinks and a variety of delightful snacks straight from the grille.
Room rates start at $191 per night, Saturday and Sunday night stay required. Rates for Saturday night only are $258, and rates for Sunday night only are $135. Rates for the Sunday golf tournament are $95 per person, including the Tropical Bar-B-Cue.
