Sanford, FL – RIFE Putters would like to congratulate Bruce Vaughan on his victory at The 2008 Senior British Open held this past weekend at The Royal Troon Golf Course in Scotland. Vaughan claimed his first ever PGA Tour victory by draining a 20 foot putt on the first hole of a sudden death playoff earning a paycheck of $315,600.00.
RIFE had the victory locked up even before the sudden death playoff began as both players were using RIFE Island Series putters at this Champions Tour Major Event. Vaughan used a RIFE Antigua putter and the 2nd Place Finisher used a RIFE Cayman model. This was RIFE’s 6th win on the Champions Tour and their 8th PGA Tour Victory overall of the 2008 season. RIFE had four players finish in the Top 10, for total earnings of $867,996.00 for the tournament.
“What an amazing weekend,” said Matt Molloy, President & CEO of RIFE Putters. “We knew we had the victory in the bag, it was just a matter of waiting to see who would come out on top. Congratulations to both of these great players. They fought hard and played extremely well throughout the weekend. We’re just proud to be a part of the excitement and drama they provided to the millions of viewers of this Major Event.”
Week in and week out players on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours rely on RIFE’s RollGrooveTM Technology to earn their paychecks. With over $40 Million in earnings and no endorsed players, its obvious that RIFE Putters has found that for the Tour Players, winning is everything.
About RIFE Putters
All of RIFE’s Putters, including the new Two Bar Hybrid, are high-end CNC milled putters that offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology and patent pending Lie-Aline System.
RIFE Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, “just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face.” Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest “no skid” roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
