53 Year Old Norman Finishes in the Top 5 in a Major Championship for the Second Consecutive Week
ALBANY, Georgia, July 29, 2008 – Greg Norman continued his strong play in this week’s Senior Open Championship finishing with back-to-back rounds in the 60’s. For the second consecutive week, Norman finished in the top 5 in a Major Championship. He has recorded top 10 finishes in each Major Championship he has played this year, which includes a 6th place finish at the Senior PGA Championship. He’ll next travel to Colorado for the US Senior Open.
“I’m disappointed to be leaving without a win, but at the same time I’m proud of the way I played in both tournaments and am looking forward to the U.S. Senior Open in Colorado,” said Greg Norman.
During the last two weeks in Greg’s bag were 2009 MacGregor VIP Pro irons with diamondback muscle, MacGregor MT 460 Driver (8.5 Degree), MacGregor Don White Wedges and MacGregor DCT Prototype Putter. Norman was dressed in performance apparel from the Greg Norman Collection.
“I’m very happy with the way I am hitting my clubs. While I’m not able to commit a significant amount of time to practicing, the fact that I am so comfortable with my equipment gives me confidence during tournaments,” added Norman.
