Pleasanton, CA, July 25, 2007 – Fore! Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: GOLF) is unveiling a new 28,000-square foot playground for Bay Area golfers and tennis enthusiasts. The new Pleasanton location, a relocation of its Dublin store, is the first Golfsmith store in the Bay Area that reflects the golf retailer’s new superstore format and features an expansive indoor driving range with state-of-the-art launch monitors, ‘biofeedback’ golf instruction from GolfTEC and an indoor tennis court.
The new store, located at 4200 Rosewood Drive at the intersection of Rosewood and Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton, CA, also includes a 900 square foot putting green and custom club making and club repair, a service Golfsmith pioneered 40 years ago. Additionally, golf lessons are offered in the store by Golfsmith’s exclusive lesson partner, GolfTEC, the nation’s #1 golf instruction provider.

Golfsmith is celebrating the grand opening of the Pleasanton store by offering guests $20,000 worth of prizes including $25 gift cards, free rounds of golf, drivers, bags, balls, racquets and much more offered on Friday and Saturday of the official opening.

The Pleasanton store will be under the Golfsmith Golf & Tennis brand, and will feature a full-service tennis department with a wide assortment of equipment, footwear and apparel.
