Batavia, IL (July 21, 2008) – Stacy Prammanasudh, one of the LPGA’s most prominent rising stars, has agreed to an endorsement contract with Tour Edge Golf, and it already looks like the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Playing under the Tour Edge banner for the first time at last week’s LPGA State Farm Classic in Springfield, IL., Prammanasudh recorded her highest finish of the season, a tie for fourth, that moved her into 24 th place on the 2008 money list with more than $420,000 in earnings.
Prammanasudh, a 2-time winner on the LPGA since joining the tour in 2003, displayed an “Exotics” touch in using her Exotics 5-PW EX-1 irons and Exotics CB2 #3 and #5 woods in shooting rounds of 69-66-68-69 to finish at 16-under par, only two strokes behind the winner. She will continue to use those Tour Edge clubs, as well as carry a Tour Edge bag.
“I am very excited to represent Tour Edge Golf, which is one of the best companies in the game,” says Prammanasudh. “The proof of anyone’s products is in the results they produce. The fact that I just enjoyed my best tournament of the year – and shot all four rounds in the 60’s for the first time this season — by using their irons and fairway woods says it all.
“Exotics fairway woods are extremely well balanced, provide tremendous ball flight and feel natural as soon as you put them in your hands,” adds Prammanasudh. “The irons deliver the control and distance that players search long and hard to find. As the name implies, Tour Edge gives you an edge.”
“We are pleased to welcome Stacy Prammanasudh to our family. We are confident she will add prestige and stature to the Tour Edge brand,” says Jay Hubbard, VP of Marketing for Tour Edge Golf. “We expect that her solid game will be elevated even further by using our products. At the same time, her constant presence on the LPGA’s leaderboard will give Tour Edge the additional exposure our company is seeking with consumers.”
Prammanasudh is the first LPGA player ever signed by Tour Edge to an endorsement contract and marks the beginning of the company’s plan to build a small advisory staff across the PGA, LPGA and Nationwide Tours. On any given week upwards of nearly 10 touring professionals play Tour Edge Exotics fairway woods to lower their scores and elevate their earnings. One of them finished tied for 9 th in the LPGA State Farm Classic.
Located in Batavia, Ill., Exotics is both a golf club brand and a manufacturing division of Tour Edge Golf Manufacturing. Exotics products are for players demanding the finest-performing golf clubs in the world. With experienced designers and smaller production runs, Exotics can bring futuristic technologies to the marketplace months, even years, ahead of its time, manufacturing the finest quality, high-technology golf clubs and hand-assembling them one at a time. Its clubs are distributed throughout the world, and are carried in some of America’s finest green-grass locations, the largest discount golf shops, and everywhere in-between.
