VooDoo, VS Proto?, NV® post victories at WGC-Bridgestone, Reno-Tahoe Open, U.S. Senior Open
POWAY, Calif. – The patent pending S-core technology (stabilized core) of the new Aldila VooDoo shaft provided several Tour players with the winning edge this weekend. Using the VooDoo in his driver and 3 wood, the winner of the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open enjoyed increased distance and outstanding accuracy en route to a seven-stroke victory over the field and a $540,000 first-place check.
“Since the VooDoo’s introduction on Tour players continue to provide us with incredible feedback,” said Mike Rossi, Aldila’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Although it’s only been on the Tour for a short period of time, the VooDoo has recorded five wins, which we consider the ultimate validation of our new S-core technology.”
At the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio, three of the top seven players also experienced the magic of the VooDoo including Aldila Staff Member Stuart Appleby who finished second. Playing with the VooDoo shaft in all of his woods, Appleby posted a 9-under 271 to finish just one shot off the lead and post his best finish of the year heading toward the playoffs.
“I’m playing better,” said Appleby. “I’m playing much like I started the year … Now that it’s the playoffs, I guess I’ve got a good opportunity now (of) getting into the finals, really gaining some momentum (and) taking (it) into next week.”
Using Aldila’s VS Proto™ hybrid shaft, the winner of the Bridgestone Invitational captured his first World Golf Championships event and 32nd victory on the PGA Tour to become the international player with the most wins in PGA Tour history.
“The Hottest Shafts in Golf” rounded out their Tour domination this weekend as the winner of the 29th U.S. Senior Open won with their NV® in his bag finishing with a 6-under 274 for the tournament. His four-shot victory enabled him to become only the second Argentine golfer to hoist the silver cup.
Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf. To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
