JUPITER, Fla. – The winner of the 2008 PGA Championship gave SST PURE Shaft Alignment its second consecutive major championship on Sunday at Warwick Hills. A longtime user of SST PURE Shaft Alignment technology, the 2008 PGA Champion also won the British Open at Royal Birkdale three weeks ago.
“I’m really thrilled with the way I felt today on the golf course,” he said after winning his second consecutive British Open. “I hit the ball as pure as I could and just felt really good.”
SST PURE again dominated the leaderboard with 11 of the top 20 finishers at the PGA Championship having a history of playing with SST PURE aligned clubs. So far in 2008, SST PUREd players have totaled more than $97 million in combined winnings.
Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE® shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its SST PURE® orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves by up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts – steel or graphite – from all major manufacturers.
SST PURE recently started its ninth consecutive year on the PGA Tour, and has already chalked up 23 PGA and Champions tour victories this season. SST PURE has also been named one of golf’s all-time Top 25 equipment developments by Golf International Magazine.
