(RIDGEFIELD, CT) – Buoyed by the tremendous successes of PGA European TOUR players using the Heavy Putter, the popular Heavy Putter Deep Face (DF), Original and Matte Series models will be on display, through distributor McEvans Sports, at the Golf Europe trade show, October 5-7 in metropolitan Munich, Germany (Hall / Booth B5 / 129 / 228).
The latest addition to the Heavy Putter line, the new C2T-DF Tour, will be showcased at Golf Europe. A traditionally-designed blade incorporating the company’s proven DF technology of a raised center of gravity (cg), the C2T-DF is 100-percent CNC milled from a forged billet of 303 Stainless Steel and features a unique PVD finish for a distinctly rich, black appearance.
Now carried in 90 percent of European markets and 30 globally, the Heavy Putter by Boccieri Golf is found in many of the finest off-course shops and most prestigious golf courses, country clubs and resorts.
On the PGA European TOUR this year, the Heavy Putter has contributed one victory, two runner-up finishes and several top-10 finishes. These stellar results compliment the international legion of professional golfers experiencing remarkable improvements after switching to the Heavy Putter.
Troy Matteson won the PGA TOUR Fry’s.com Open and has recorded several Top-10 finishes using the Heavy Putter, which has also been part of victories on the Asian PGA, Canadian, Nationwide and European Challenge Tours.
“The rapid acceptance of the Heavy Putter among PGA European TOUR players and European golfers of all handicaps clearly validates it as a huge competitive advantage,” says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “The Heavy Putter is also a success at retail in Europe and worldwide, where merchandisers report quick inventory turns.”
The Heavy Putter’s popularity stems from the unprecedented counter-balance theory of a heavier mass head and weighted grip that are the defining characteristic of the line. This causes greater stroke stability, consistent swing paths, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, and tightens the end-over-end golf ball roll.
Unveiled at Golf Europe in 2007, the Heavy Putter DF Series features five models – three mallets, two blades – ranging in design from traditional to groundbreaking, each with raised centers of gravity on the clubface for superior distance control and improved skid-roll
characteristics.
Extensive research indicates a higher center of gravity on the head benefits most golfers because it aligns the vertical cg of the clubhead more closely with the cg of the golf ball, resulting in a more consistent transfer of energy at impact. This caused Boccieri Golf to create the Heavy Putter DF Series. The higher center of gravity allows golfers to raise their putters just above the surface of the green more consistently to achieve contact with the sweet spot for a truer roll and greater distance control.
The weighting technology that made the Heavy Putter popular has not changed for the DF Series. Like the entire Heavy Putter line, the DF models weigh just under two times that of conventional putters, thus, automatically engaging larger, more stable muscles. Furthermore, the higher balance point created by the counter-weight in the butt end of the shaft disengages the hands, promoting a smoother, more consistent pendulum stroke. Like all Heavy Putter models the new DF Series incorporates face balancing for improved feel and performance.
The pioneering weight technology features a 450- to 550-gram head (conventional heads are 330 to 350 grams). The Heavy Putter’s unique Weight Management System, a 250-gram weight installed in the grip end, produces a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters.
Golfers instinctively activate their larger, more stable muscles, preventing wrist breakdown and creating greater stability and consistency throughout the stroke.
The Heavy Putter Deep Face Series is available in two blade and three mallet models. Each can be custom ordered in standard, mid- and long-putter lengths for men and women, and some models are available for left-handed golfers.
