Singh Goes Two For Two In FedExCup

September 3, 2008

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA… Vijay Singh drained three long birdie putts to close his final round with an 8-under 63 to win the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday. The victory gave Singh his second straight win in the PGA TOUR playoffs for the FedExCup and a commanding lead of 12,225 points over his nearest competitor. The win means that there are only three players remaining which have any mathematical chance of keeping Singh from winning the FedExCup and collecting its $10 million bonus.

“It’s nice to actually stand over the putts and make putts like that, said Singh. “It’s a great feeling to hit a putt and see the ball rolling into the hole. I mean, there’s nothing better.”

Singh plays the HiBORE XL driver (9.5), a Launcher Steel fairway 3-wood (13°), CG1 Black Pearl irons (4-PW), CG12 wedges (54°, 60°, 64°) and a Never Compromise GM2 Exchange belly putter.
