CRYSTAL RIVER, FL (September 2, 2008) – Plantation Golf Resort & Spa is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, September 20, 2008 for a local school teacher. Judy Powell was the director of the Health Academy at Crystal River High School but in February of this year, Judy was involved in a horrible car accident which has left her a quadriplegic.
The four-man scramble will start at 8:00am. Cost of the tournament will be $65 and includes green fees, cart, and buffet after golfing. Registration is required by calling Bill Size more at 352-563-2480. The foundation hopes to raise $45,000 to buy an elevator for Judy’s home.
