(WORLEY, Idaho) – Circling Raven Golf Club – rated one of America’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play 2008-09” (out of roughly 14,000) inGOLF Magazine’s prestigious biennial list – today announces that multiple-time PGA TOUR winner Andrew Magee recently played the course, becoming the latest celebrity to seek out Circling Raven.
Magee has played on the PGA TOUR for more than 20 years and has four TOUR victories on his impressive resume. In January 2007, Magee signed on with the Golf Channel and debuted as new host of the 2008 season of The Big Break, which was set at Kaanapali Golf Resort in Hawaii.
Having played many of the greatest courses around the globe, including during Major Championships, Magee is a highly qualified and experienced judge of elite golf designs. He is the only PGA TOUR member to score an ace on a par-4 hole during a TOUR event.
“Circling Raven is a tremendous asset for North Idaho,” said Magee. “Everything here, including the clubhouse, pro shop and certainly the staff, creates a first-class golf experience. This course deserves every honor its received and I’m very glad to see it listed among the top 100 in the U.S.”

“There is one great quality at Circling Raven that I enjoy most,” Magee added. “It has a wonderful flow to it. The flow of the course and the play offer considerable change from hole to hole. With every turn, there’s something new and different in front of you. Circling Raven is a great challenge and it’s great fun. It keeps your interest from the first hole to the last.”

About Circling Raven Golf Club and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort & Hotel
The Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort & Hotel and Circling Raven are nestled on a reservation covering 345,000 acres of mountains, lakes, old-growth forest and farmland. The resort spans the western edge of the northern Rocky Mountains. Tribal history also tells us that Circling Raven was a spiritually powerful leader, his name coming from his close relationship to the raven, who helped guide him on his journeys, warn him of danger and show him where to find fish and game.
Circling Raven was created amid a unique blend of wetlands, grasslands and woodlands. At 7,189 yards, the par 72 championship layout meanders through 620 acres, only 100 representing cultivated ground. Wildlife is abundant, including elk, deer, moose and an occasional black bear.
Owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and convenient to Spokane (WA) Airport,
the Coeur d’Alene Casino offers 1,800 machines for play in smoking and non-smoking areas, off-track betting for horse and dog races, high-stakes bingo, entertainment and many other amenities. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week every day of the year. The resort is regularly voted the most popular casino in the Inland Northwest.
