ORLANDO, Fla. – September 3, 2008…Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators, today announced that Chip Koehlke, Director of Instructional Programs at the Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott®, one of the nation’s leading golf schools based in Orlando Fla., has been honored with the prestigious Teacher of the Year Award by the East Central Chapter of the North Florida PGA. Koehlke was recognized for his excellence in golf instruction and was recently honored at the annual awards banquet, held at Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, Fla.
Currently serving as Director of Instructional Programs at the Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott, Koehlke is a seasoned PGA Professional with more than 25 years of professional experience. During his career he has developed and coached many elite amateur and professional players who have enjoyed great success, including numerous world-wide victories, and a Professional Major Champion. In 1997, Koehlke joined the Faldo Golf Institute as the Director of Instruction where he created and implemented the instructional programs that impact more than 5,000 students annually brand wide.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Koehlke earned a B.S. degree in Professional Golf Management at Ferris State University. In addition to this PGA recognition, Koehlke has also been recognized as a top instructor by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. He has been published in major golf magazines including: PGA Magazine, Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Golf Illustrated, and also featured numerous times on the Golf Channel in the United Stated, as well as the United Kingdom.
