VooDoo most popular shaft series at BMW Championship
POWAY, Calif. – Over the past three events as the field of the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup has been trimmed from 144 to the remaining top 30 players in the world, Aldila has consistently been the #1 wood and hybrid shaft of choice.
At the BMW Championship, the Deutsche Bank Championship and The Barclays, “The Hottest Shafts in Golf” were the #1 wood shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. In addition, at all three FedExCup events Aldila had almost twice as many players choosing their hybrid shafts over the next leading manufacturer.
Aldila’s latest shaft, the VooDoo with S-core™ Technology, has become the most popular shaft series in the FedExCup field. Tour players continue to choose the VooDoo for the stability, accuracy and increased distance of its stabilized core. On the Tour for just a short period of time, the VooDoo has already recorded seven wins.
The secret is the VooDoo’s internal carbon-fiber rib system that runs the length of the shaft and dramatically stabilizes its cross-section. The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross-sectional stabilization.
“Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. This tried-and-true triad, and your success, is the two factors Aldila balances its reputation on. So we make sure to get them right. The bottom line … we experiment so you don’t have to.”
