Market Leader Showcases Premium Performance Fabrics, Clean Lines, Proper Fits

(Markham, Ontario) – Leading menswear designer Ralph Dunning introduces his Spring 2009 Golf Collection featuring premium performance fabrics distinctively styled with clean lines and proper fits speaking directly to the traditions and heritage embraced by the game’s most discerning players.

Showcasing classic tailoring, subtle colors and a consistently elegant hand, the collection’s 45 styles feature an array of advanced materials and proprietary fabric blends. Each garment is engineered as part of a golf-specific playing system, ensuring wearers remain dry and comfortable in all conditions.

Consisting of technical polos, performance wool sweaters, thermal pullovers, Tour Stretch outerwear, Stretch Performance bottoms and compression undergarments, the line is made using precise production processes to ensure complete consistency of quality and fit. Game-enhancing characteristics – such as increased airflow, unmatched breathability, moisture wicking, odor resistance and UV protection – are literally built into the performance textile, guaranteeing they will not wear- or wash-out for the life of the clothing.

“Our partners are world class merchandisers seeking distinctive pieces that complement the gentleman’s lifestyle,” says Dunning. “We’ve created seven unique fabric stories combining the highest levels of performance with classic silhouettes and a truly rich hand. The result is a modern-prep, country club look that is timeless and ideal for serious players who want clothing that will never go out of style.”

The 2009 Dunning Golf Collection will be worn in competition by staff players John Senden, Kyle Thompson and 2007 Masters champion Zach Johnson, who have a significant role in product development. Shipping in November 2008, the line retails from $79-$250 with compression undergarments starting at $39. Sizes range from XS-2XL in tops and 30″-42″ in bottoms.

Dunning Golf’s focused distribution network of marquee clubs and resorts includes Adios, Baltusrol, Butler National, Chicago Golf Club, Congressional, Dallas National, Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort, Four Seasons Resort & Club, Inverness Golf Club, Isleworth, Liberty National, Naples National, Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, The Club at Mediterra, Trump International, Sherwood, Vaquero Club, Winged Foot, Wynn Golf Club. About Dunning

An authentic golf-lifestyle brand, Dunning apparel is available throughout North America via a focused, high-end distribution network, including marquee country clubs and resorts, premier menswear shops and major retailers.

Company founder and principal designer Ralph Dunning is a lifelong athlete, former IRONMAN competitor and marathoner who boasts a 16-year heritage on the leading-edge of performance apparel design. He first garnered widespread acclaim for the Rip n’ Hammer line of premium technical clothing for triathletes and cyclists, and also drew praise for work on behalf of some of the world’s largest and most authentic sports brands, including Saucony, Reebok and Cervelo Cycles.

Dunning became an avid golfer after developing knee problems and now carries a single digit handicap. He founded his eponymous clothing line in 2001, continuing a family tradition of fine tailoring dating back to his father’s work on London’s Savile Row in the first half of the twentieth century.

Drawing inspiration from sport, music and fashion, the Dunning Golf collection quickly set the industry standard for classic design, quality of materials and consistency of fit. All Dunning Golf pieces are engineered and manufactured to suit the physical demands of the golf swing and the unique form and physiology of the wearer. The line is preferred by scores of leading Tour professionals worldwide.

Working with only the best mills and manufacturing the majority of its pieces using ISO 9001 facilities allows Dunning to provide discerning consumers with a complete quality assurance. The company also engineers many of its fabrics from the yarn up, meaning performance is built-in and won’t wash- or wear-out after repeated use.
