Florida-based Company Receives Top Honors for Publishing Excellence
ORLANDO, Fla., (Sept. 12, 2008) – Turnstile Publishing Company, which specializes in high-end publications for active and affluent audiences, received six awards at the Florida Magazine Association (FMA) Awards, including the coveted Charlie Award for Best Redesign. The 2008 honors continue more than a decade of the FMA’s recognition of Turnstile’s publishing merit.
Chosen from more than 900 entries from across the state of Florida, the publishing company’s 2008 FMA wins include four General Excellence awards and two Writing Excellence awards, with a total of four different Turnstile publications being honored. Turnstile’s in-house editorial, marketing and custom publishing teams created all of the award-winning work recognized by the FMA. The honors are as follows:
General Excellence
• Charlie Award: Best Redesign (Masters Athlete)
• Silver Award: Best Overall Magazine – Consumer 50,000 Plus (Golfweek)
• Silver Award: Best Custom Magazine – Consumer (Ginn Open Program)
• Bronze Award: Best House Ad (Art Calendar) “Arts Newest Masterpieces,” Mari Ani Camchong Writing Excellence
• Silver Award: Best Column – Consumer 50,000 Plus (Golfweek) “Hate to Be Rude,” Jeff Rude
• Bronze Award: Best Column – Consumer Less Than 50,000 Circulation (Masters Athlete) “Nutrition,” Matthew G. Kadey
