WINTERGREEN, Va. – You don’t have to fly to Vegas for a weekend of poker and golf with all the trappings. Wintergreen Resort offers everything needed for cards and links during the 2008 Eastern Golf TV “Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em” tournament, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26.

The event features a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament at Wintergreen’s Skyline Pavilion on Saturday night, followed the next morning by a foursome team scramble golf tournament at Stoney Creek Golf Course. The weekend’s mantra is “What happens at Wintergreen, stays at Wintergreen.”

Registration fee is $1,000 per four-person team, which includes:

* Saturday night accommodations for entire team at Wintergreen Resort

* Welcome reception

* Pairings party and dinner for four

* Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament

* Breakfast at Stoney Creek Bar & Grill

* Unlimited use of golf practice facility

* Team golf tournament, 18 holes at Stoney Creek

* Lunch at Stoney Creek following play

Sponsored by the Eastern Golf TV Show (www.easterngolf.tv), the golf tournament is to be played on the Shamokin and Tuckahoe nines at the 27-hole Stoney Creek course, a Rees Jones design. Practice rounds on Saturday Oct. 25 may be reserved for $50 per player. Competition includes different individual games throughout the round. The team tournament is a modified scramble using each player’s drive once. Overall team handicaps will be determined by the tournament committee.
